Project Description
The program aligned with and helped to meet Government of Ghana’s (GOG’s) basic education sector priorities, specifically for improving primary school reading performance and exploring ways to improve numeracy, and contributed to USAID’s Education strategy goal of improved reading skills for 100 million children in primary grades by 2015. The BOAT scope of services TMG was contracted to support included: operationalizing the education M&E system, including implementing a research agenda linked with the GOG Education Strategic Plan (ESP); strengthening capacity and enhancing competencies, knowledge and skills in efficient M&E practices of pertinent personnel in MOE, as well as GES and local organizations and institutions to promote evidence-based decision processes; and supporting the USAID/Ghana Education Office performance management and evaluation system.
